Roper Mountain Holiday Lights

Since the boys are enjoying Christmas lights this year more than ever, we decided to go see the lights at Roper Mountain Science Center.  We had so much fun.  We were able to see Santa, some giant "Christmas cards," and lots of beautiful lights.

The Cleers' Farm

We gave a little Christmas treat to all of Ian's Truth Trackers, Sunday school, and PeeWee Patch Club teachers.  There was only one couple, the Cleers, that we were not able to find.  I called to see if we could drop the treats off at their home on Monday morning, and they invited us to stay for a few minutes to see their farm.

Sean's 2nd Birthday

We enjoyed celebrating Sean's birthday with Nana and Grandad.  He had a blast!  It was all we could do to keep Ian from opening all of Sean's gifts.  I think he had as much fun as Sean did!

BJU Christmas Lighting

Ian and Sean absolutely love Christmas lights!  They had fun at the lighting -- especially since Nana and Grandad were there!

Chuck E. Cheese

A couple weeks ago we met several friends at Chuck E. Cheese for a playgroup.  The boys had a great time!  Ian loves to do anything and everything.  Sean wasn't quite as thrilled but had fun watching everyone and running around looking at everything.  After Chuck E. Cheese a few of us met for lunch at Monterrey by the Mall.  The kids had a booth all to themselves and did a wonderful job!

Ian, Sean, and Kate

I thought you might enjoy a few pictures of life at the Hamrick home!

The New Tie

Along with some other pictures, you will see Ian in his new tie.  We went to Kohl’s to get him some shirts, and while we were there he fell in love with this tie.  Thankfully, he picked a good one!  He looks like such a big boy when he wears it!

Halloween 2008

The evening began when Ian, Sean, and I went to the church to meet Jeff and take a few pictures.  Then we headed to Publix where employees in costumes pass out candy and toys each year.  We grabbed a quick dinner at Chick-Fil-A before heading home.  Jeff and the boys went trick-or-treating through the neighborhood while I stayed home and gave out candy.  Needless to say, the boys had a blast.  Sean, who absolutely loves suckers, ate four of them while they went from house to house!

It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown!

Jeff, Ian, and Sean thoroughly enjoyed carving a big pumpkin.  It looked very scary on our front porch tonight (and smelled great with two of my Yankee Candle Clean Cotton votives inside)!

Cooking 101

The boys and I made banana bread last night.  Well, Sean mostly played in the medicine cabinet!  We had a great time, and the bread is delicious – if I do say so myself!

More of Ian and Sean

I thought you might enjoy seeing what my busy boys have been up to recently.  You will notice a couple pictures of Ian’s Pee Wee Patch Club debut.  I wish we had more, but we just couldn’t see him very well.  We were on the front row, but some other children were blocking our view of him.  We’ll try to get better pictures next time!

These pictures will give you a glimpse of what has been going on in the Hamrick household recently.  Enjoy!

First Soccer Game

Today was Ian's first soccer game.  He worked very hard and did a great job!  Go, Lions, go!

Decorating Cookies

Ian and Mimi had a great time one afternoon decorating cookies.  They did a beautiful job!

Build A Bear

While Mimi and Papa were here we went to the Build A Bear Workshop.  Ian made Teddy the Dog and Sean made a monkey named Ooh-Ooh-Aah.

Lowe's Truck Project

Two weeks ago Ian and Daddy went to another Lowe's workshop.  Ian was so excited to build a little red truck that reminds him of Grandad's truck!

New Addition to the Family

Kate, a 5 month-old Black Lab, found a new home today…at our house.  The jury is still out to determine whether Sean is absolutely thrilled with her.

After a bath and a meal, she’s fast become part of the family!

First Soccer Practice

Ian's soccer team had their first practice Wednesday before church.  He loved it!  Of course, his favorite part was the juice box he got at the end of practice!

Soccer Party

Well, it's official.  I'm now a soccer mom!

All the players and their families were invited to the Seiter's house on Monday.  Vic Seiter is coaching the boys.  We had supper and a soccer meeting, and the boys went swimming.  Ian was a brave boy and jumped off the diving board (something I didn't do until I was about 12!).

Fun at Chick-Fil-A

We went to lunch today at Chick-Fil-A and were pleasantly surprised to discover they were celebrating their one-year anniversary.  Ian and Sean got to jump and slide, and Ian had his face painted.  They had a blast!

Mall Playground

Mommy and the boys needed a day out, so we spent the morning at the mall.  (We also needed air conditioning!)

Ian at Lowe's

Ian at Lowe's

Ian and Daddy went to Lowe's last Saturday and made a school locker.  He worked very hard and had a great time -- and so did Ian!

Hollywild

We went to Hollywild Animal Park this morning with Sarah, Hailey, and Mackenzie Hutcheson.  Except for the fact that we were about to melt from the heat, we had a great time!  Ian and Sean especially enjoyed feeding the animals.

Basket of Boys

Basket of Boys

Ian and Sean decided to relax for a few minutes while playing with all the balls!

Groceries Galore!

This morning we went to a discount grocery store that does a box sale every other Saturday.  For $6.00 you can buy a level box of groceries.  The trick is to work your way through the crowd and grab what you want before someone else does.  We came away with 4 boxes.  For $24.00 we got everything you see here!

Sean Relaxing

SANY1337

After a hard morning's work, Sean decided to relax while watching Mister Rogers.

Grandad's Tour of BJU's Hangar

Grandad gave us a tour of BJU's hangar.  Ian and Sean loved getting in the airplanes!

Ian and Sean at BJU

While Grandad and Nana were visiting, we spent some time on campus.  The boys especially enjoyed the fountain!

Fourth of July

We spent the Fourth of July with Ben, Dayna, Isabelle, and Ireland Ice.  As you can see, Ian and Sean had a lot of fun playing with the girls!
