Labor Day Festival

This year we decided to go back to the Simpsonville Labor Day Festival. The boys (and Jeff!) enjoyed a couple of rides. They also got their faces painted.

Last Wednesday was Sean’s first night in Tiny Trackers. I can’t believe he’s old enough! He loves his teacher, Miss Jennifer, and can’t wait to go back!

First U-8 Soccer Game

The Lions had their first game of the season recently and played hard. This season is going to be very challenging now that they have graduated from U-6 to U-8. However, I’m sure they will still have lots of fun!

Frankie’s Fun Park

Our Sunday school class met at Frankie’s Fun Park for supper at Johnny Rocket’s and miniature golf.  We had a great time even though we chose a very difficult course!

Soccer Swim Party

We had a swim party at Coach Seiter’s house to kick off the soccer season. All the guys were able to be there and had a great time!

Sean’s Self-Portrait

Sean loves art as much as Ian does! He recently drew a picture of himself. I thought it was so cute that I had to take a picture!

School

Ian is now in first grade! On Friday, right after we got home from vacation, we headed to his open house. He was able to meet Miss Dunn, organize his desk, and even do an art project! Then on Monday he left for his first day of first grade. As usual, he loves school!

Water Park

Mimi and Papa took us to the Wilderness at the Smokies water park. Aunt Abby, Zac, and Trenton went also. We had a great time! The boys were really brave and went down every slide that they were big enough to use. They also enjoyed the “paint your own pottery” place. We definitely need to go back!

Indiana State Fair

The Indiana State Fair is definitely one of our favorite activities. We went last year for the first time in years. Ian loved it and wanted to go back this year. We went twice and still didn’t see everything! Maybe next year we can go three times!

Chuck E. Cheese

Ian and Sean love Chuck E. Cheese! Mimi took us to one while we were in Indianapolis. We enjoyed pizza, games, prizes, and even seeing Chuck himself!

Downtown Indianapolis

We had so much fun downtown Indy with Nana, Grandad, and Aunt Brenda! We went to the Glick Indiana History Museum and then walked around the canal.

Bowling

While we were in Indianapolis we went bowling with Abby and Zac. The boys had never bowled except for the Wii! They did a great job!

Colonel Sanders

On our way to Indiana we made a brief stop in Corbin, KY. While there we decided to visit the original KFC. The boys enjoyed seeing some of the memorabilia and sitting with the Colonel for a few minutes!
