Ian’s class went on a walking field trip to Rodeheaver Auditorium, and I had the privilege of being one of the chaperones. They sat in the green room; learned about costumes, masks, and wigs; heard the organ; rode in the orchestra pit; and saw some cool special effects.

Bella’s Birthday Party
Ian’s friend, Bella Sanders, had a 7th birthday party. We all went and had a great time! The boys especially enjoyed riding the horse!
Dr. Seuss Project
In honor of Dr. Seuss’s birthday, the first graders each did a Dr. Seuss project. They had to come up with a rhyming phrase and then illustrate it. Ian chose to do “A Skunk in My Bunk.” He made a shoebox to look like his bed and then created a skunk out of clay to sit on the bed.
First Soccer Game–Spring 2011
The Lions are working hard again this spring! For the first time ever they are wearing something besides red! Woo hoo!
BJA Unity Game
Next year the elementary school, junior high, and high school at Bob Jones will be combining to form Bob Jones Academy. To get things started, they had something called a Unity Game – a basketball game between varsity guys and faculty men as well as varsity girls and faculty ladies. This was the first time the school has ever had a combined activity for grades 1-12.
Ian had a great time and can’t wait to be an “Academy” student next year!
Sean as Darth Maul
Jeff is a huge Star Wars fan, so naturally Ian and Sean have become interested as well. Sean likes to dress up as Darth Maul. He even came up with a way to create a double light saber!
Christmas 2010
Christmas Eve was a lot of fun this year. Almost all the extended family was able to be there as well as some dear friends. Little did we know that it would be Uncle Don’s last Christmas which makes these pictures even more special.
After the family left, we opened presents with Nana and Grandad. Then on Christmas morning the boys got to open their stockings and presents from us.
We then left as quickly as we could to head over to Mimi and Papa’s house for all the Christmas Day events.
As you can see from the pictures of the loaded car, we were very blessed this year!
