Sean’s K4 Christmas Party

I enjoyed helping with Sean’s class Christmas party. The kids had a great time decorating cookies, eating, and listening to stories!

Sean’s 5th Birthday Party

Sean loves Star Wars, so he chose to have a Star Wars birthday party at Pump-It-Up!

Grove Park Inn

Each year the Grove Park Inn in Asheville, North Carolina, has a wonderful display of gingerbread houses. We went this year for the first time and were thoroughly impressed with the variety and creativity of the houses!

Jeff’s 40th Birthday Party

In honor of Jeff’s 40th birthday, we had a Star Wars party, of course!

The Lions (Ian’s team) and the Tigers (Sean’s team) celebrate the end of the soccer season with a combined party at Pizza Inn.

Halloween 2011

Ian decided to be a vicious pirate this year for Halloween, and Sean was a big hit as an orange crayon. Their friend Ethan joined them for a fun evening Trick-or-Treating!

Fall Festival

Last fall we thoroughly enjoyed an evening at the Sanders Farm complete with Bucky’s Barbeque, face painting, a costume contest, and a pig-naming contest. Ian won the costume contest, and I won the pig-naming contest with the names Penelope and Petunia!

Ian’s Second Grade Field Trip

This year, Ian’s class went on a field trip to Strawberry Hill. Jeff went along as a chaperone, so he was able to get a lot of great pictures!

Visiting Sean’s K4 Class

Each year the parents are invited to spend some time in their child’s class. We thoroughly enjoyed watching Sean!

40th Anniversary Reception

My parents’ 40th anniversary was on November 20, 2011, so we gave them a reception in Indianapolis. Some dear friends helped decorate and serve, and many wonderful friends and family members came to honor my parents.

First Fishing Trip

When we were in Indianapolis last September, Grandad took Ian and Sean on their first fishing trip. They both caught some fish and enjoyed spending time with Grandad!

Sean’s First Day of K4

Now that school is done I can finally catch up on some blogging. As you can see I have a lot of catching-up to do! Putting Sean in K4 was a last-minute decision. We applied after school started hoping for a spot second semester. Within a few days we received the call that there was an immediate opening. After much prayer we decided to put him in right away. He had a wonderful year and absolutely loved his teacher, Mrs. Rouse!
